Bluff Terrace Nursing Home Volunteering
Volunteering at Bluff Terrace provides residents with the opportunity to interact with young people. Many inter-generational activities are offered to residents and volunteers in an effort to create active participation and enjoyable companionship. Saturday mornings involve various planned activities (including crafts, cooking, games, and special events) provided in conjunction with the Bluff Terrace activity department. Volunteers also assist the nursing staff with replenishing ice water and linens. On Thursday evenings, volunteers take the residents to the south campus cafeteria and serve dinner "restaurant-style," creating a fun and pleasant atmosphere for everyone.
