A trained professional Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist
conducts an onsite evaluation of specific job tasks. Written
reports with pictures and possible recommendations are presented
to assist with identifying risk factors for cumulative trauma
injuries.

become and stay healthy, energetic, and happy.
This presentation will help your audience identify the consequences
of physical inactivity, understand 10 key benefits of physical
activity, and discover several ways to make physical activity
a part of their lives.

Taking control of your health
Healthwise is a self-care manual to help you make better health
decisions. Eight out of 10 health care problems are cared for
at home. The Healthwise Handbook will help you do a better job
of managing your family's health problems.
- Osteoporosis
Dem Dry Bones, understanding and managing
This program presents the changes of osteoporosis & their
impact upon health. Risk factors, treatments and prevention
are discussed.
- Performing Repetitive tasks
7th Inning Stretch Program: This program is a stretching program
designed for the healthy worker performing repetitive tasks.
The intent is to provide a general stretching program for common
risk areas.
- Post Acute/Injury Services
Functional Capacity Evaluation: Utilizing the
Ergo Science protocol from the University of Alabama our licensed
and trained therapists can provide a comprehensive functional
capacity evaluation that has been tested for reliability and
validity. This is a comprehensive evaluation that will assist
the injured worker to determine their safe level of work. Mercy
Medical Center is licensed to provide this testing procedure.
Pre-Job Offer Functional Capacity Evaluations:
Pre-Job Offer evaluations can be completed based on essential
functions and job descriptions provided by facilities. This
evaluation can assist with determining a participant's ability
to perform job tasks.
Injured Worker Programs: Physical and Occupational
Therapists can assist the injured worker return to their previously
held independence level and life roles. Therapists provide individualized
treatment plans to address deficit areas. Therapist can also
assist with working with caseworkers during the therapy process.
Cost of programs will vary depending on your facility needs
and group size. A proposal will be formulated for each facility
prior to services being provided.
- Sleep Disorders
Understanding and managing
Normal and abnormal sleep patterns are identified. Effects
of sleep disorders are reviewed, along with the diagnosis and
treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea; the leading cause of sleep
disorders.
- Upper Extremity CTD Injury Prevention Program
This is a 30-60 minute training program designed to help the
participants decrease their risk of upper extremity, cumulative
trauma disorders. It focuses on the cornerstones of the Work
Smart program with an emphasis on Work style and Lifestyle components.
- Well Back Injury Prevention Program
This is a 30-60 minute training program designed to help the
participant decrease the risk of back injury. The focus is on
the cornerstones of the Work Smart program with a special emphasis
on Work style and Lifestyle.
