Tobacco Free Campus

Mercy Medical Center is officially a tobacco-free campus. This means that employees, patients and visitors are prohibited from smoking or using tobacco products on any Mercy-owned property, including buildings, grounds, parking areas and sidewalks.

If you are interested in obtaining support to help stop using tobacco, call Quitline Iowa (a toll-free smoking cessation counseling hotline) at 1-800-QUIT-NOW (1-800-784-8669) or visit their website at www.quitlineiowa.org. Illinois residents may call the quit line at 1-866-QUIT-YES for information and assistance.

Patients who smoke or use tobacco products are encouraged to talk with their physician about nicotine replacement therapy (NRT). NRT may help to curb cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
