Med Tree program reaches goal

The Med Tree campaign, sponsored by Mercy Medical Center – Clinton, raised a total of $4,410 this year, which is an increase of more than $200 over last year’s total amount raised. Each holiday season Mercy Medical Center sponsors the Med Tree program in an effort to raise much needed money for the Emergency Prescription fund administered through Information, Referral, and Assistance Services agency in Clinton.

This fund provides financial assistance to needy persons in the community with emergency medication needs. The funds are depleted each year due to the growing need of people struggling to get their basic needs met. The positive response from the community, therefore, is greatly appreciated.
