Jr. Volunteer Summer Program at Mercy Medical Center

The Jr. Volunteers will be helping Mercy Medical Center in many valuable and fun ways this summer. We are offering great opportunities for students in our community to create some wonderful summertime memories for themselves, as well as devoting some rewarding and valuable time interacting with the residents at Bluff Terrace and Wyndcrest nursing homes, the children at the Mercy Childcare Center, and patients at the Hospital. The Jr. Volunteer SUMMER PROGRAM is designed to give students opportunities throughout the summer, assisting in various areas at the Mercy Medical Center doing craft activities, Bingo and cooking projects at our nursing homes or helping with field trips, playground games and special events at the Mercy Child Care Center. We also have many volunteers assisting in the hospital delivering meal trays to patients each afternoon or assisting staff in various hospital departments. Youth can volunteer 2 hours - 15 hours per week creating their own summer program schedule! We would like to encourage any student 12 years old and older, who might be interested in this type of volunteer program to please contact Jeanne McKenzie at 244-3525 for further information or to obtain an application.
