Mercy Hospice Holds Sessions to Help People Who Are Grieving During the Holidays
Clinton, IA -- For people who are grieving over the death of a loved one, the holiday season can be a very challenging period of time. Often, there are mixed feelings about continuing traditional celebrations. Christmas preparation and the noise and bustle of the stores, may come at a time when they are trying to gather the strength just to carry on.
As the holidays approach, the staff and volunteers at Mercy Hospice will be presenting several sessions entitled “Holidays without Them” for people who find themselves in this situation. The sessions will be presented by Eve M. Palm, Mercy Hospice bereavement coordinator, who will share ideas to help people cope during the difficult holiday season. Each session is open to the public and free of charge.
In Clinton, the session will be held on Saturday, November 17th at 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church - Calvin Hall, 400 Fifth Avenue South.
In Savanna, Illinois, the session is scheduled for Friday, November 16th from 2 - 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 2100 Chicago Avenue in Savanna.
