Center Names Top Leadership for Healthcare Foundation
Donna Oliver, president and CEO of Mercy Medical Center –
Clinton recently announced the addition of Sondra K. Briese
as the Executive Vice President of the Mercy Healthcare Foundation.
Briese began her position at Mercy – Clinton on April
23rd with her husband Brian and three children to join later.
According to Donna Oliver, Briese brings with her extensive
marketing and fund raising experience. Most recently, Briese
served as the foundation director for Mercy Hospital–
Port Huron, a sister organization to Mercy – Clinton.
In this role she managed all aspects of their fund raising
function. During her time at Port Huron, she played a key
role in the formation of their foundation, the creation of
several successful special events, the development of a major
gifts initiative and an expanded donor recognition program.
When asked about her move to Clinton, Briese said, “I
am looking forward to working with members of the community
to carry on the good work already started by the Mercy Healthcare
Foundation.”
A public reception will be held for Briese on Friday, May
11th from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. in Conference Room A at Mercy
Medical Center – North Campus.
The Mercy Healthcare Foundation was formed in 1989 to enhance
the quality and delivery of health care in Eastern Iowa and
Western Illinois by providing financial assistance to Mercy
Medical Center and its not-for-profit health-related institutions.
Since its inception, the Foundation has raised more than $6
million.
