Mercy Medical Center To Offer Public Forums On
Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage

CLINTON, IA- Mercy Medical Center will host three public forums on the new Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage in November. For the first time, starting January 1, 2006, Medicare will offer prescription drug coverage. The Medicare drug plans are different than the Medicare approved prescription drug discount cards. Everyone on Medicare is eligible for this coverage and everyone on Medicare will need to make a decision before May 15, 2006 to avoid a possible penalty.

The forums are open to the public and are design to give a general overview of the new Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage and to offer an opportunity to ask questions. All public forums will be held at Mercy Medical Center North Campus, 1410 N 4th St in Conference Room A. They are scheduled for Wednesday, November 9 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, Monday, November 14 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm and Tuesday, November 15 from 3:30 – 5:30 pm. Reservations are suggested.
