Andover Community Ambulance Service Awarded Grant

The Andover Community Ambulance Service recently accepted a $2,000 grant from Donna Oliver, President and CEO of Mercy Medical Center - Clinton, and Sondra Briese, Vice-President of Mercy Healthcare Foundation.   The grant will be used to help recruit and train emergency medical technicians as critical links in the health care of the Andover community.

Formed in 1989, Mercy Healthcare Foundation raises funds to enhance healthcare in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois by providing financial assistance to Mercy Medical Center and related healthcare programs.  Since inception, the foundation has raised more than $6 million to establish new services or to improve the service to patients of the medical center and residents in Mercy’s long term care facilities.
