Mercy Home Care and Hospice will host their Annual Remembrance Service this Saturday, August 20 at 10 a.m. at the Bickelhaupt Arboretum in Clinton.  The annual service, which will feature music by Derek Grant on bagpipes and Karen Bartachek on keyboard, provides an opportunity  for family members and Mercy Home Care and Hospice staff members to come together to remember those individuals who have passed away during the year.

"As a faith-based organization, our Mission at Mercy guides us to help families through the difficult times when we lose someone very close to us," said Sharon Meister, Director of Mercy's Home Care and Hospice.  "The service helps to promote a sense of healing as we come together, in the beautiful setting of the Arboretum, to remember and celebrate the lives of our loved ones."

Father John Stack of Mercy Medical Center will provide the scripture reading and offer words of hope.  The service will also feature a butterfly release and offer an opportunity to see and learn more about the Mercy Hospice Herb Garden. The event is open to the community.
