Home care covers a wide range of physician-ordered health care and support services that enable individuals – from newborn to the elderly – to receive care at home. Care is provided by a team of highly qualified and skilled clinicians.

Social Services:

To help families meet the challenges of caring for a loved one at home, Mercy social workers will coordinate necessary services with other community agencies and help in identifying sources of financial assistance.

Home Health Aides:

Certified home health aides provide assistance with:

  • Bathing, grooming, dressing and exercising
  • Other personal care
  • Changing bed linens.

How is Home Care funded?

Referrals and requests for service are accepted from family members, patients, hospitals, nursing home, physician offices, clinics and community agencies. A doctor’s order is needed before home health services can begin. When your physician recommend home health care, call Mercy to find out more about our services at the number below.

Services are provided in Clinton and Jackson counties in Iowa, and Whiteside and Carroll counties in Illinois.
