How is Mercy Home Care Funded?
Mercy Home Care services are reimbursed by the following:
- Medicare
- Medicaid
- Veterans Administration benefits
- Private insurance
- Self-pay
For most payers, services must be considered medically necessary and the patient must meet certain coverage criteria. A sliding fee scale is available.
In order for Medicare to pay for home care services, the patient must have a need for skilled nursing or therapy, be homebound and have a physician’s order for care.
