Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac rehab plays a very important role following a major cardiac event and focuses on emotional and physical assistance. This program helps to make lifestyle modifications in order to reduce risk factors associated with heart disease.

Cardiac Rehab – Phase II is a physician ordered outpatient therapy for people who are recovering from heart problems or surgery. This program includes exercising while the heart rate and rhythm are continuously monitored by ECC telemetry. Blood pressure is checked periodically during each session. Exercise will begin at a low intensity and will gradually be increased as tolerated.

Education sessions are an integral part of cardiac rehab. Topics related to heart health are discussed on a weekly basis.
